U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced a significant adjustment in the filing location for Form I-907, the Request for Premium Processing, when submitted together with Form I-140, the Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers. Effective November 13, USCIS is transitioning the filing process from the service centers to the USCIS lockbox.

This shift aims to enhance operational efficiency by consolidating filings, embracing digitization, and reducing associated costs. However, this change only pertains to newly filed Forms I-140 concurrently submitted with Form I-907. It does not affect cases where Form I-907 is being filed for an already pending Form I-140.

For applicants filing Form I-140 with associated applications like Form I-765, Form I-131, or Form I-485, the filing location remains unchanged, continuing to be with the service centers as detailed on the Direct Filing Addresses for Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker page. USCIS assures that updated filing location changes for these forms will be communicated soon.

It’s crucial to note that beginning November 13, USCIS lockboxes will reject any Form I-907 submitted with a Form I-140 that includes associated Form I-131, Form I-485, or Form I-765. Such requests should continue to be directed to the service centers, as specified on the Direct Filing Addresses for Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker page.
