We have noticed a recent change in the annotation on L-1 visa stamps issued by the U.S. Department of State. Previously, all L-1 visa stamps including L-1A, L-1B and L Blanket included an annotation that said: “must present Approved I-797 or I-129S at POE”. However, the new L-1 visa stamps appear to differentiate between those for regular L-1 visas and L Blanket visas, with the annotation “must present approved I-797 at POE” for regular L-1 visa stamps, and “must present I-129S at POE” for Blanket visa stamps. Therefore, if you have recently obtained an L-1 visa stamp, please make sure that the correct annotation has been printed.
