Congress has passed another short-term spending measure to temporarily extend federal government funding through December 20, 2019 while FY 2020 budget negotiations continue. This means that┬ámany key immigration programs, which are under federal functions, will continue uninterrupted until December 20, 2019, pending President Trump’s signature. This is the second short-term spending measure passed since September.

The second short-term spending measure temporarily extends the following key immigration programs through December 20, 2019:

  • E-Verify
  • The EB-5 regional center permanent residence program for foreign investors
  • The Conrad 30 waiver program for foreign medical graduates working in areas of the U.S. that are underserved by physicians
  • The special immigrant non-minister religious worker program
