Trump has signed an executive order that suspends the entry of foreign nationals from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen to the United States for a period of 90 days, or through\u00a0April 27, 2017. The order also reportedly suspends a worldwide program that exempted certain visa renewal applicants from consular interviews.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The current position of the administration is as follows:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\u00a0Individuals who are U.S. legal permanent residents and citizens of one of the seven countries are now\u00a0admissible\u00a0to the U.S. and will not be delayed entry;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"2\">\n<li>\u00a0Dual Citizens that\u00a0present\u00a0a passport from a country that is not subject\u00a0to\u00a0the entry ban will be treated as a citizen of that country, and will be admitted to the U.S. if eligible;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"3\">\n<li>\u00a0The District Field Officer has been delegated &#8220;waiver authority&#8221; to allow individuals from one of the seven\u00a0countries\u00a0to be admitted to the U.S. absent derogatory information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ban could be extended, and could be expanded to additional foreign countries. However at this time there are no\u00a0additional\u00a0countries that\u00a0have\u00a0been added to the list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We will\u00a0continue to closely monitor the\u00a0situation and will post any additional updates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last updated February 3, 2017<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Donald J.
