{"id":2230,"date":"2015-04-08T13:00:24","date_gmt":"2015-04-09T01:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swlgpc.com\/en\/blog\/?p=253"},"modified":"2015-04-08T13:00:24","modified_gmt":"2015-04-09T01:00:24","slug":"h-1b-cap-reached-for-fy2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swlgpc.com\/eng\/h-1b-cap-reached-for-fy2016\/","title":{"rendered":"H-1B Cap Reached for FY2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has just announced that the <strong>H-1B Cap for FY2016 has been reached<\/strong>. \u00a0USCIS has also reached the additional 20,000 cap for H-1B petitions for U.S. Master&#8217;s or higher degree holders.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>USCIS will now conduct a random-selection lottery. \u00a0The lottery system will first be imposed on the U.S. Master&#8217;s Cap filings to select 20,000 petitions. \u00a0The remaining petitions will be entered into the Regular Cap lottery. \u00a0Cases not accepted under the lottery system will be rejected and returned.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Due to the overwhelming number of H-1B petitions received, USCIS has not yet announced the date it will conduct the random-selection lottery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If your case is accepted for processing, you will receive a Receipt Notice acknowledging its acceptance. However, please note that it may take many weeks before all Receipt Notices are issued.
