The State Department has announced that it is raising visa stamp fees for non-immigrants.<\/p>\n
Effective June 4, 2010, the application fee for a\u00a0U.S. nonimmigrant visa will increase\u00a0from $131 to between $140 and $390 depending on the visa category.<\/p>\n
In Japan, applicants who appear for the visa interview on or after June 4 will be processed only if they pay the new application fee. Applicants who paid the prior $131 application fee and appear for visa interviews on or after June 4\u00a0must pay the difference at the embassy or consulates cashier in Yen or U.S. dollars on your interview date.<\/p>\n
The following are the new fees:<\/p>\n
Petition based Visas:<\/b><\/p>\n
H Visa\u00a0(Temporary Work Visa)\u00a0$150
\nL Visa\u00a0(Intra-company transferees)\u00a0$150
\nO or P Visa\u00a0(Persons w\/ extraordinary ability in Sciences, Arts, Education, Business or Athletics)\u00a0$150
\nQ Visa (Visa International Cultural Exchange) $150
\nR Visa (Visa Religious Worker) $150
\nK Visa (Fianc\u00e9(e) visa) $350<\/p>\n
Non-Petition based Visas:<\/b><\/p>\n
A\/G\/C-3 Visa (Diplomatic, Government Official\/Employees of an International Organization\/Diplomatic, Official Transit Visas) No fee
\nB-1 Visa (Business visitors, Domestic Employees) $140
\nB-2 Visa (Holiday, tourism, medical treatment) $140
\nC-1 Visa (Transiting the United States) $140
\nC-1\/D Visa (Crewmembers working on air or sea carriers) $140
